If you want to connect your living space to nature you have a few different options. From your couch to your ceiling fans, you have lots of options to explore.
The most obvious choice would be the use of natural materials. Deep beautiful hardwood furniture has a striking visual impact so long as it is well maintained. Make sure you get rid of stainless steel and plastics and replace as much of it with hardwood as you can. If you are going to have metal in your living space you should stick to wrought iron because it has a slightly more organic look to it and pairs well with natural wood.
Natural fiber pillows, upholstery and blankets are beautiful. This is an area where you need to spring for high quality. Natural fibers are usually quite coarse until they are worn in properly and cheap materials/furniture will definitely be less comfortable.
